A throw back came across my photo memories to reveal a great group of dudes in a magical place. This is what one could expect when 5 guides from had a few days off together…. Sayings like “if it was easy everyone would do it”…. Success is the by-product of hard-work”….”the fun is in the suffering” come to the forefront of my mind.

FLY FISHING is Hard!!! It is humbling, the gear is overwhelming and the education is endless… Just remind yourself, the pursuit for those amazing days you will always remember is why we continue the practice. To all those friends, clients and anglers met and ripped lips w/ along the way…

HAPPY FRIDAY Y’all… get out and fish!!!

I am not usually the person to write long captions or send cryptic messages…

It’s mid Fall, temps are dropping, water level is dropping and fish are spawning or moving to winter holding water. I love this time of year, winter season is a great time to reflect, plan, fill the boxes and prepare for whatever is next.

Above is a picture of one of my favorite sunrises this past year, it also is a reminder of the harshest conditions I battled this past season.
Fly Fishing is very similar to skiing for me. A great powder day gets burned into my memory in a similar way as a fantastic day of fishing!
A moment in nature that can never be repeated, they become sacred and exclusive… it’s important to take a moment and recognize the Magic on Earth 🌎

Came across a campsite this weekend on the lower Henrys Fork…this is what we found! Ci******es in the river, cans everywhere and an unattended smoldering campfire! Rivers have carved and shaped the landscapes of Earth since the dawn of time… this is how some people respect our wildlife??? DO YOUR PART, please
