Hmmm, what is it that we are working on????🤔
This kiddo I was working with has been diagnosed with his superpower...autism. One of the smartest 4-year-olds that I know. Anywho, he LOVES numbers !!! Using numbers is the only thing I could do to motivate him to participate.
Something as simple as a travel size connect 4 from the dollar tree and a dry-erase marker and we got a low prep activity!
We worked on...
🥸 figure ground skills
👌🏽pincer grasp, in-hand manipulation
🤗Hand-eye coordination
🧠 focus and task completion.
You can make this activity your own!
Incorporate letters, shapes, turn-taking, and sequencing. The ideas are endless! What would you do?

This is one of my favorite activities that I use with my kiddos! Who wants to sit and just write letters.... 🥱 BORING! That's why I came up with this activity for tall, short, and swinging letters to save the day. I like to play along and purposely write incorrectly for them to correct, gives them so much more confidence!

Of course this 2.5 year old can't spell but you know what she can do....Complete this puzzle.
We were not working on spelling🤭 we were working on :
*Visual perceptual skills
*Bilateral coordination
*Activity Completion
*Hand-eye coordination
* Fine motor skills
To grade this activity to her level , I presented the puzzle in order, connecting the middle pieces and orienting the outer pieces upside down for her to help me "fix" to complete.
Building confidence, one kid at a time😁
You hear the excitement!

Oh, nothing! I'm just trying to make learning fun. Whether it's making wheels or lollipops
🤫 shhh, don't let the kiddo know they are working on pre-writing strokes, bilateral coordination, fine motor skills and strengthening, and visual motor skills. Don't forget about tactile sensory play😁
Materials:
*Modeling clay ( can use playdoh to make it easier or theraputty to make it a little harder)
*A simple coloring page, with your desired skill to work on.
*Pipecleaners to make the suckers....BTW, we were supposed to be making little putty monsters for Halloween, but this little one had other plans🤭
Creativity and imagination go a long way!!!!

When you have a kiddo that keeps eloping and you are over chasing them and trying to see if they would return without prompting....

Did the sun get a hold of your crayons and cause them to melt? 🤔💡Just break it off and use the tip to promote a tripod grasp !!! Broken Crayons still Color😊
I love seeing this excitement on his face! Perfection gets them every time. It can be graded up/down for each age group to work on visual perceptual skills, fine motor skills, emotional regulation. I could have added music, but I wanted y'all to hear this 😁
