Good luck to Maiya and Cali Castillo, who left for Chile on Monday to train at Everton in Chile for the next two months. Maiya will be training with the U20 team, while Cali is training with the U17s.

“My goal is to get better by playing daily in a professional club, learning the language, and getting looked at by the U20 national team,” said Maiya, who is a freshman on the FAU Women’s team and a member of the Team Boca ECNL 2008 squad. Cali is on the Team Boca ECNL U16 team. “Cali has had interest from the U17 national team, and this will also help her get seen and maybe get a chance with them, as I did.”

Good luck to City Soccer FC’s Oscar Narvaez and Nicole DiPerna, both with strong Team Boca ties, as they compete in the semifinals of the $1 million TST tournament this Sunday (May 30) in Cary, North Carolina.

Narvaez, who is coaching the Team Boca ECNL RL 2010G team this season, continues to make an impact on the sidelines as an assistant coach with City Soccer.

DiPerna, an FIU star who played for the Team Boca Blast WPSL women’s team in 2019 and was named the WPSL Sunshine South Conference Offensive Player of the Year, also spent time coaching in our girls program.

City Soccer FC, made up of players mostly with South Florida connections, defeated Reunion City Dallas, 3-0, in the quarterfinals, and they moved on to the semifinals, where they will face Iowa Demon Hawks at 12 p.m.

TST (The Soccer Tournament) TST is the world’s premier 7v7 soccer festival, bringing together top players, celebrities, and clubs from around the globe to compete for three $1 million, winner-take-all prizes. Wishing them the best as they continue their run toward the championship! ⚽️🏆
