Congratulations to the following five Team Boca players who have been selected for the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP) 2026 ODP South Girls Interregional team, Nov. 21-25, at the ChampionsGate Sports Field Complex in the Orlando area.

Maite Vieira, Alice Vieira and Adriana Watson (all 2012s), Michelle Ray (2011), and Catalina Sola Rivera (2009) will join more than 550 of the nation’s top players selected through US Youth Soccer State Association and Regional-level evaluations.

Each participating age group — covering the 2009-2014 birth years — will feature a team from each of US Youth Soccer’s four regions: East, Midwest, South and West.

Former Team Boca and Lynn University coach Cally Morrill, who now coaches at Lees-McRae College, is the 2012 South Regional coach.

Players will participate in team activities and training sessions Nov. 21-22, followed by games Nov. 23-25. The ODP Girls Interregional annually attracts college coaches and scouts who evaluate players in an environment similar to what they will experience at the next level.

Team Boca ECNL Technical Director and FAU women’s head coach Patrick Baker is a member of the 2011 National Team Staff and will lead the team to the IberCup Cascais in Portugal in March 2027.

“It’s great to work with talented players who want to get better,” said Baker, who will once again coach alongside U.S. National Team legend Brandi Chastain. The two coached together last year with a team in Spain. “We will identify the pool, and then the team will be selected for the international trip.”

⚽️ A MILESTONE NIGHT FOR PATRICK BAKER

After a two-hour lightning delay, FAU women’s soccer coach Patrick Baker reached a major career milestone Thursday night, coaching his 700th game as a head coach as the Owls rallied from a two-goal halftime deficit to defeat Charlotte, 3-2, in their first American Conference match of the season at FAU Soccer Stadium.

Baker, who also serves as the Team Boca ECNL Technical Director and Team Boca ECNL U19 coach, has compiled a 359-269-72 record during his 35-year coaching career.

🔥 THE COMEBACK

Hailey Santiago scored in the 48th and 51st minutes to erase Charlotte’s 2-0 lead, before freshman Amelia Hillman scored the game-winner in the 84th minute — the first goal of her collegiate career.

Freshman goalkeeper Lily Holden came up big down the stretch, making four saves in the final four minutes to preserve the victory. Holden finished with six saves.

The win evened the Owls’ season record at 3-3-4.

“We are really young, and we are growing by leaps and bounds, and tonight was a huge step in our growth,” Baker said following the match. “You go down 2-0, and you come back and win 3-2, especially against a good team… It was a great ending to a great night.”

We are excited to welcome Jason Sardis as the new Sporting Director of Team Boca Soccer Club.

Jason brings more than 20 years of coaching and leadership experience across College Soccer, MLS NEXT, ECNL, and the Boys and Girls U.S. Soccer Development Academy. He has served as a Technical Director, Director of Methodology and Head Coach, helping establish club-wide playing philosophies, develop coaches, and create clear pathways for players.

His playing background includes representing the U17, U18, and U20 U.S. Youth National Teams and four years at the University of Maryland, where he finished third all-time in points. He was also a two-time High School All-American.

Jason also brings 15 years of corporate leadership experience with Office Depot, including serving as a Senior Director, with expertise in strategic planning, global operations, and team leadership.

As Sporting Director, Jason will oversee both the Boys and Girls programs, working with our Advisory Board, coaching staff, and players to implement our methodology, support coach development, build a positive club culture, and strengthen player pathways.

We are excited about this next chapter for Team Boca, so please join us in welcoming Jason Sardis to Team Boca!

Team Boca coach Michael Araujo and his U17 Boys N1 team will have to wait to finish what they started in the South Florida Super Cup championship match.

The U17 boys were leading Doral Soccer Club 1-0 in the first half Monday when lightning and inclement weather forced the title game at Kendall Soccer Park to be suspended. The match is scheduled to resume Nov. 14 in Weston.

Vince Ferrigno scored Team Boca’s goal, while goalkeeper Isaac Araya was bidding for his fourth clean sheet of the tournament when play was halted.
