Sinai team members hand-delivered each arrangement, along with a personalized card, helping spread joy, hope and happiness throughout the community.

We are thrilled to announce that Marla Samuels, RN, BSN, has been named Director of Assisted Living at the Health Center at Sinai Residences Boca Raton.

Marla is an accomplished registered nurse and healthcare leader with more than 12 years of nursing experience specializing in home health, patient care, clinical operations, and team leadership. She most recently served as Director of Nursing, Home Health at Lifespace Communities, where she led multidisciplinary clinical teams, ensured regulatory compliance, and championed exceptional patient outcomes.

Recognized for her compassionate leadership and commitment to excellence, Marla brings extensive expertise in patient assessment, individualized care planning, case management, staff development, quality improvement, and clinical operations. Throughout her career, she has remained dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centered care while fostering collaborative, high-performing healthcare teams.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Marla enjoys spending time with her husband, Davion, and their daughter, Daniyah. A woman of strong faith, she is an active member of The Faith Center in Sunrise, Florida, where she serves on the church's Medical Team, supporting the health and well-being of fellow members and guests.

A Passover Message from Rabbi Joanna Tract, Director of Spiritual Care:

Chag Sameach to all of our Sinai Residents!

This week we are celebrating the holiday of Passover. We joined together at tables around the world to read the Haggadah and remember the story of when we were slaves in Egypt and how God gave us freedom through Moses’ hands.

This freedom gave the Jewish people a sense of relief after the years of being enslaved and also provided a newfound sense of self-empowerment. The seder reminds us to never take our freedom for granted. It is a gift that can easily be rescinded.

There are so many examples across the globe of people who are not free. With this being the case, it is hard to celebrate when others are suffering. Nelson Mandela echoed this perspective when he stated, “For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.”

May the holiday of Pesach unveil the blessings that surround us, and may we as human beings also see the divine in others thirsting for freedom. May our actions quench that thirst, and may every person be able to bask in the light of being free.
