(Soap cap (or bleach bath) is a gentle hair-lightening method that mixes lightener, developer, and shampoo, typically in a 1:1:1 or 1:2:1 ratio. It is ideal for removing buildup, lifting 1-2 shades, or correcting brassy tones with less damage than full bleaching. Applied to wet hair, it acts like a soap for faster, milder processing)

To achieve this perfectly even red, I first performed a soap cap (bleach wash) to gently lift and balance out the existing color.
As you can see in the before photo, my client’s hair had different tones.
After that, I deposited the red shade, allowing the color to develop rich, vibrant, and consistent from roots to ends.

I did her color a while back! She had a blonde balayage and chose to go back to her natural brown.
Today she came in to bring her cut back to life with long layers and a soft side angle.
