But I also know this after nearly 30 years in business and leadership:

🚨 SERVICE-BASED BUSINESS OWNERS: Don’t finish the job and disappear.

You did great work. The customer is happy. You pack up and leave.

But did you leave anything behind that reminds them who did the work?

A small branded sticker, magnet, service tag, QR code, or “Serviced by…” label can turn one completed job into future business.

Think about it:

🔧 HVAC company → sticker on the unit
🚰 Plumber → service sticker under the sink or on the water heater
🚪 Garage door company → sticker near the opener
🐶 Pet professional → magnet with contact info
🧹 Cleaning company → small branded leave-behind
🏡 Home service company → QR code linking directly to reviews or rebooking

Why does it matter?

Research on advertising exposure has long shown the mere-exposure effect: familiarity can increase preference. In plain English—people tend to feel more comfortable with brands they recognize.

So when something breaks six months from now, you don’t want your customer thinking:

“Who did we use last time?” 🤔

You want your name right there.

And BONUS: the next homeowner, tenant, property manager, contractor, or family member may see it too.
