College Life Skills Program 05/27/2026

Confidence and Self-Advocacy

Parents often worry their student won’t ask for help when needed.

Examples:

* Communicating with professors
* Handling conflicts
* Setting boundaries
* Making decisions

Message:

“Students learn how to navigate challenges without depending on parents to solve every problem.”

If proactive, summer can be a time children, teens, and young adults not only learn new skills, but get ahead!

Important skills may weaken if they are not actively using them, and they may even begin to develop new ones, such as excess screen time and social avoidance.

Don't let summer prevent your child from reaching their fullest potential. Sign up today! (Since 2012!)

“The transition from a structured school schedule to the unstructured days of summer can be more disruptive than many families expect. Without a consistent routine, children may struggle to maintain healthy sleep habits, regular meals, and daily activities. This lack of structure can throw off their natural rhythms, leading to mood swings and emotional instability,” https://www.supportforstudentsgrowthcenter.com
