Hi!! If you’re new here, thank you so much for the follow.
I thought I’d better step out from behind the easel and introduce myself, even though showing my face on this side of the camera is definitely not my favorite thing to do! I’d much rather be painting. 🎨
I’m Colleen Thompson, a fine art portrait artist based in South Florida (Boca Raton). I specialize in custom pet portraits and oil paintings that capture the special bond between people and their pets.
Whether I’m painting a beloved Golden Retriever, your adorable mix breed, or a custom family portrait, my goal is always to bring that unique personality to life on canvas.

Heartfelt thanks to the Painted Ladies of Palm Beach and the Cornell Art Museum at Old School Square.
What a joy to have two of my paintings, “Me and My Golden” and “Me and My Pup,” showcased alongside so many talented women!
A very special thank you to my beautiful daughter, Brighid , for representing me at the opening while I couldn’t be there! 🙌
This exhibition, The Art of Her, is all about amplifying the voices of women artists and exploring identity and empowerment. It’s especially meaningful that the show runs through Women’s History Month in March. If you find yourself in Delray between now and May 3rd, please stop by the upper galleries and see it. 🎨
At its core, this show asks: Who is “she,” and how does she express herself in the world? I’m so grateful to be part of that conversation.🙏

Beyond THRILLED to officially announce that these two paintings from my “Me and my Pup” series have been selected for the “Painted Ladies of Palm Beach: The Art of Her” exhibition! 🎨✨
Both “Me and my Pup” and “Me & My Golden” will be on display at the Cornell Art Museum in Delray Beach, FL.
This series is so close to my heart, as it focuses on capturing the deep, fleeting bond between us and our beloved pets. Seeing them chosen for this exhibition is such an honor. 🙌
