May is Mental Health Awareness Month Join NAMI in raising awareness, spreading hope and sharing resources for mental health conditions.

I was the oldest of 5, both parents were alcoholics, and we had very little money.

So I absolutely grew up “having people I didn’t want to be like and seeing situations I’d never want to be in.”

I also had a couple of amazing role models, my grandfather and my 9th grade math teacher, but most of my childhood I would say to myself,
“This is not going to be my life. I am not going to be like that person.”

So beloveds, I am a living testimony that we are not what happened to us, we are not victims even if we have been victimized, and we CAN be anything we want to be with deep desire, strong conviction, and an “I will never give up on mySELF attitude.

If I can do it, you can do it loves. 🖤
