Being in the emergency business you experience different degree of disasters. Fires in particular are extremely emotional. As a business owner it can't be all about money.
It's more important to have empathy and patience what the homeowner is going through.
Doing the right thing , of course.
People have lost memories, what they have worked hard for, evan perhaps misplaced their fur baby ( thank got portia was found).
Yes, you're there doing your job; a lot of moving parts are happening.
Keeping in mind, the most important part is making the people that have gone through this very emotional disaster is what really counts!
Hold their hand along the way.
Assure them it will be okay at the end of the day.
The bottom line is, yes you're a business owner
And all that goes with that. At the end of the job seeing a smile on their face and not being displaced anymore is what it's about!
