A week ago, we held a beautiful kokedama class at the magical Oki Center, a hidden gem within 🇯🇵We shared the morning with such a wonderful group — incredibly talented and eager to learn. It was truly a special and joyful experience.👏🏻🙌🏻🧡 I’m also especially happy because a couple of students who traveled from New York City flew back home with the kokedamas they created… and they made it through the Transportation Security Administration 😁! It was such a lovely reminder that these living creations can travel and “fly” ✈️ too.
Feeling grateful for moments like these, where creativity, nature, and community come together 🙏🏼🌿✨

La semana pasada tuvimos otra hermosa clase de Kintsugi en el Morikami Museum, y como siempre, fue un verdadero placer compartir este espacio con mis estudiantes. Cada sesión se convierte en un encuentro lleno de calma, reflexión y creatividad, donde aprendemos no solo a restaurar piezas, sino también a apreciar la belleza de las cicatrices. Me alegra ver cómo cada uno se va feliz, llevando a casa su pieza reparada con oro y, con ella, una parte de la filosofía del Kintsugi: valorar lo que ha sido roto y transformarlo en algo aún más bello. ✨ Last week we had another beautiful Kintsugi class at the Morikami Museum. It’s always a joy to share this peaceful and creative space with my students — watching them leave happy, carrying home their restored pieces and a bit of the Kintsugi philosophy: finding beauty in what has been broken. ✨

The past few months have been packed with classes, exhibitions, projects, hurricanes, and so much more. I hadn’t had the chance to sit down and share photos from our last class at the , but here they are at last! It was an incredible experience, and I’m so grateful to everyone who participated and helped make it possible. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed the class! See you soon 💚

Hace una semana tuve dos grupos maravillosos en mis clases de Kokedamas 🌿🥀en mi lugar favorito para enseñar 🇯🇵y no dejan de sorprenderme mis alumnos. Es lindisimo ver como llegan y dejan volar su creatividad y salen felices y sonrientes con sus manos llenas de su propio trabajo. Gracias por confiar mi y crecer conmigo!🙏🏼🧡 A week ago I had two wonderful groups in my Kokedamas 🌿 classes in my favorite place to teach 🇯🇵 and my students don’t stop surprising me. It’s great to see how they arrive and let their creativity flow and leave happy and smiling with their hands full of their own work. Thanks for trusting me and grow with me! 🙏🏼🧡

Entre las cosas que más me relajan y dan alegría, es trabajar en el jardín. Esta mañana estuve feliz viendo abrirse mis orquídeas, orientando la Passion Fruit y disfrutando del aire fresco con un café en la mano! Y a ti qué te gusta hacer para relajarte?
