Our Men’s Mission Team is already in Guatemala, putting their hands to work on projects and coming alongside the ministry there.

Please keep our men in prayer this week: that God would use every conversation, every task and every opportunity to strengthen His church and make His name known.

This weekend, they’ll also be helping with the Men’s Conference at Calvary La Esperanza, coming alongside the ministry to encourage the men who gather.

We’re grateful to be a part of what God is doing in Guatemala. 🙏🏼

8:46 a.m. The first plane struck the North Tower. American civilians were murdered in the plane and tower, and first responders ran toward the fire while the rest of the country still wondered if it was an accident.

Eighteen minutes later, at 9:03 a.m., the second plane hit the South Tower. This was no accident. America was under attack.

9:37 a.m. The Pentagon was struck.
9:59 a.m. The South Tower collapsed.
10:03 a.m. Flight 93 crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
10:28 a.m. The North Tower fell.

In less than two hours, the world changed. Nearly 3,000 people were murdered. Hundreds of first responders laid down their lives. Millions more were left in shock as Islamist terrorism shattered a clear September morning.

This is the 25th anniversary of that day. In the rubble, a cross stood. A reminder that Jesus is near in our darkest hours, and that His grace and strength are still available.

The dying did not end that morning. Many have since suffered and died from lung disease and cancer caused by the dust. Only a few months ago, our pastors visited a man in the hospital who was dying from what he breathed in that day.

We pray for every family marked by September 11.
We pray this never happens again.
We pray for our country and our leaders.
And we thank God for carrying us through a horror that scarred us forever.

NEVER FORGET.

One year ago our country witnessed the assassination of Charlie Kirk, a man who went boldly to college campuses to discuss truth, wrestle with competing philosophies, and to be a witness for Jesus to students.

Please continue to pray for the Kirk family. They lost a husband, father, son and brother one year ago, and we know the God of all comfort will continue to comfort them in their grief.

Pray for the college students Charlie was passionate about reaching. Many have stepped up in boldness this past year, but others are still wandering.

And finally, let's pray for the salvation of the one who murdered him. Our God is a God of grace and mercy, even granting mercy to those that others may deem unworthy.

"But I (Jesus) say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you." Matthew 5:44
