Yesterday we learned of the unthinkable, that a person whose friendship we have treasured since the day we met all the way back in 2016, was along with her 2 year old son, tragically taken out of this world. Sara Aponte de Gama was an amazing person who made mine and Caitlyn’s lives all the better for having been a part of it these last 8 years, and the light of the world is now dimmer for her absence. Sara is thankfully survived by her infant son, who I thank God with all my heart that he survived this tragedy. We cannot even begin to put into words the feelings and the emotional rollercoaster that Caitlyn and I have been on these last 36 hours, but we can say that it pales in comparison to what Sara’s family is experiencing. No parent or grandparent should have to bury their children or grandchildren, and this injustice has shattered our hearts

We humbly implore everyone to not only donate, but please share the link to this GoFundMe page to help the family with all funerary expenses and help provide for Sara’s infant son. Our honest hope is that through this GoFundMe we might be able to have enough to ensure that his eventual college tuition could be paid for.

Kelly's dress perfectly complimented their garden ceremony backdrop, with delicate floral details and sheer sleeves. Dom's dark blue suit stood out against the greenery and hinted at the blue skies above. Traditional, but uniquely them.

Bridesmaids bouquets can be as different from your bouquet as you want them to be - there is no "standard" look. Some opt for mini versions of the bride's bouquet, but by using the same color palate and just a few of the same flowers, you can get a truly unique look for your special ladies.

Florals

James tells grooms all the time, "make sure to incorporate your personality into the day as well. You're 50% of the reason why you're having a wedding." It doesn't even have to be anything huge; it can be a small detail that expresses who you are. Here, Lucas chose a blue tie and pocket square because he's a percussionist and his favorite drum set is blue. He even wore cufflinks that looked cymbals. You couldn't tell unless you were looking up close, but it's those details he will remember, and part of what made the day a special symbol of his other love - music.

How do you make a cohesive wedding atmosphere? It's not just the obvious use of florals. Look closely at the use of gold through Kelly & Dom's outdoor ceremony arch and indoor reception decor. The gold of the arch is repeated in the gold flower stands on the tables, and even carried through to the gold brush strokes on the cake. Perfection.

Entertainment can be just as unique as every other choice on your wedding day. Jazz band or DJ? Disco or Reggaeton? Glow sticks? Strobe lights? There are just so many options. Whichever you choose, make it a celebration to remember. Jessica and Mike danced all night with a combination of dancehall, reggaeton, and hip-hop. The dance floor was packed with high energy vibes to celebrate the newlyweds.

How sweet are Jessica and Mike's expressions during their "first look"? Such surprise and excitement, I can't help but giggle a little. This moment gives couples the opportunity to take each other in, without the eyes of the crowd (except for us, of course). It can be jest as emotional and joyful and seeing each other at the ends of the aisle for the first time. However you choose to see each other for the first time, don't worry about who is watching and let the emotions flow.

Tiffany and Danny love their sweets, but wanted something more casual and fun for their guests. They chose a stunning FLOATING dessert bar with cookies, donuts, mini tarts, mousse, and their favorite chocolate-dipped cookie sandwiches. Guests were delighted and it made a perfect gathering spot throughout the day. ⁠

Pro Tip: If you want a fun, hyped reception atmosphere, bring some hype-men! Dom's groomsmen were there every step of the way to cheer him on and keep him pumped for all of the day's events. Especially the garter retrieval and toss! A fun crew will make it an even more memorable event.
