We're deep in the weeds here, but things seem to be going well. If you are an settlement claimant, you likely will be getting an email (if you haven't already!) asking you to confirm information on the claims.

A quick note: If you are an agent, you *cannot* make a claim for your commission from the Settlement Administrator since you are not a rightsholder to the work. Commissions (if any) should come from your clients once they are paid the settlement amount.

While many eyes are on the payment schedule for the Anthropic settlement, Chicken Soup for the Soul is continuing to pursue their own case against the tech giants.

Their complaint is that the Chicken Soup stories, by design, use simple and plain language which is by nature more valuable to those companies trying to train their AI.

(They certainly aren't wrong, here, IMO).

While many of the lingering cases have been determined to be "related" per Judge Pitts, they are not class action suits and there is, as yet, no class action suit going against Anthropic and others for those rightsholders who either applied too late for the settlement or neglected to do so for one reason or another.
