Things I Spot (and Love) in Homes 🏡

I spotted this creative solution at a home recently, a mix of horizontal wood slats and decorative privacy panels that creates a stylish backdrop while helping disguise the view beyond the yard.

Inventory is improving, giving buyers more options — and in many cases, more room to negotiate on price and terms.

Waiting for lower rates might sound like the smart move, but here’s an interesting example: One recent Cost of Waiting report showed that waiting a year could mean about $27,500 more cash needed, while saving only $162/month on the mortgage payment. It would take roughly 14 years of those monthly savings to make up the difference.

And if rates drop? More buyers could jump back in, bringing more competition with them.

The rate matters — but it’s not the only number that matters.

Broward County drivers — this is one to know about!

With school back in session, nearly 1,300 Broward County Public Schools buses are now equipped with cameras designed to catch drivers who illegally pass stopped school buses.

Right now, drivers are in a warning period — but beginning September 9, violations can result in a $225 fine.

And here’s something worth brushing up on: depending on the roadway and type of median, traffic in both directions may be required to stop. A painted median or center turn lane doesn’t necessarily mean you can keep going.

As a Broward County mom AND Realtor who spends a whole lot of time on these roads 😅, I thought this was definitely worth sharing.
