Vega Smile Studio would like to introduce a new joining Doctor to our team Dr. Kristen Diaz!

Dr. Kristen Diaz was born and raised in Miami, FL to Cuban immigrant parents. As a child, she loved anything hands-on and so naturally gravitated towards dentistry over time. Her love for sunny South Florida led her to complete her Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art at the University of Miami, where she fine-tuned her motor skills and developed a keen eye for aesthetics. She then utilized these skills to earn her 4-year dental degree from Nova Southeastern University, where she graduated in the top 10% of her class.

During dental school, Dr. Diaz developed a love for periodontics and dental surgery while enrolled in the Periodontics Honors program, which led her to pursue the specialty. She then completed 3 additional years of surgical training in periodontics at Nova Southeastern University, where she happily served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Diaz is an active member of several dental societies, including the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the American Academy of Osseointegration. She likes to actively give back to the community by joining local dental study clubs and working part-time as periodontal faculty at Nova Southeastern University.

Dr. Diaz is committed to staying at the forefront of technology and advancements in science in order to deliver the highest quality of periodontal care possible.
