On this day we celebrate America's independence and the inception of the great American experiment. On July 4th 1776, our founders risked the ultimate sacrifice and pledged their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor to protect, preserve and defend the principles of a new, independent and free republic to be instituted for, and among, the American populous which would ultimately derive its just powers from the consent of those governed. Thankfully, we are also celebrating the Make America Great Again movement and rejection of the communist incursion that has threatened our great country.

Last night, the Boca Raton Republican Club hosted Florida's Lt. Governor and 2026 gubernatorial candidate, Jay Collins, as our guest speaker, who gave us insight on current state initiatives as well as his vision for Florida's future.

The Boca Raton Republican Club invites you to a Dinner and speaking event with special guest Florida Lieutenant Governor Jay Collins starting at 6:00 PM (seating starting at 5:15 PM) on Tuesday, March 12th, 2026 at the Boca Lago Golf & Country Club, 8665 Juego Way, Boca Raton, FL 33433. Lt. Governor Collins is running for Governor of state of Florida. His life has been defined by leadership, service, and courage under pressure. After 9/11, he answered the call to serve, earning his place in the U.S. Army Special Forces as a Green Beret medic. Collins deployed to Afghanistan, Iraq, and South America, where he repeatedly demonstrated extraordinary resolve. Wounded in combat, he continued fighting—and even performed surgery on himself during a firefight. Despite injuries that later led to the loss of his leg, Collins refused to quit. He requalified as a fully deployable Green Beret and served five more years on active duty.
After 23 years in uniform, Collins continued his mission at home, helping deliver millions of meals to veterans, first responders, and families in need. His focus remains clear: safer communities, affordability for Florida families, and a stronger future for the next generation.
