No Fallen Heroes

Eight sailors from the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group attempted su***de during their most recent deployment. That was nine months at sea under sustained combat operations, with no scheduled port calls.

This one hits home. Our co-founder Matthew Whiz Buckley deployed aboard the Lincoln. We know that ship and that life, and we know the weight these sailors and Marines carry.

We’re grateful none of them were lost.

Shipmates stepped in, and that matters. But eight attempts is eight warriors who reached a breaking point while still in the fight.

At No Fallen Heroes Foundation, our focus is healing our heroes after they come home.

We’re encouraged that the Department of Defense is now funding clinical research on psychedelic-assisted therapy for active-duty service members. Those who serve deserve every effective tool available now, while they’re serving, not years after they get out. That’s especially true at today’s ops tempo.

We also can’t forget the families. Our other co-founder Suzi Buckley knows this all too well. Spouses, children and parents carry this deployment too, and they need care, answers and support.

Veterans are not broken. Su***de is preventable. Trauma is treatable.

Today, on National POW/MIA Recognition Day, we pause for the American heroes who endured the unimaginable - and for those who never came home.

The black-and-white flag carries a promise across generations:

At the No Fallen Heroes Foundation, those words are more than a remembrance. They are our mission.

Because bringing our heroes home is not always the end of the journey.

Some return carrying invisible wounds from captivity, combat, trauma, grief, and moral injury. They may be standing beside us physically while parts of them remain trapped in places the rest of us cannot see.

We believe they deserve more than our gratitude. They deserve every opportunity to heal - to reclaim their peace, their families, their purpose, and the person they were before the darkness.

Today, we honor those who returned.

We remember those who remain missing.

We stand beside the families who have lived for decades without answers.

And we recommit ourselves to healing the heroes who made it home - but are still fighting their way back.

Until every warrior is accounted for.

Until every wounded soul has access to healing.

Until no hero feels forgotten.

The U.S. Department of Defense is about to dose active-duty soldiers with MDMA-assisted therapy for PTSD.

Read that again.

Active duty. Not retired. Not separated. Currently serving 🇺🇸

Two DoD-funded studies. 186 service members. Walter Reed and Emory University. Three MD-MA sessions across 10 months - beginning as soon as this year.

This isn’t fringe anymore. This is federal policy.

And we watched this moment coming.

Five years ago, our Commanding Officer Matthew “Whiz” Buckley traveled to Mexico with Navy SEAL veteran Marcus Luttrell. Both had experiences that changed their lives forever.

Marcus went home a different man.

His brother, Congressman Morgan Luttrell - a veteran Navy SEAL - witnessed that transformation. Then he sought his own healing. Then he went to Congress and mandated this research into law as part of the National Defense Authorization Act.

One warrior’s healing. A brother who witnessed it. A congressman who fought for it. 186 active-duty soldiers who will now benefit from it.

That’s how change happens.

President Trump stood in the Oval Office two weeks ago and said what we’ve been saying for years - since 9/11, we’ve lost over 21 times more veteran lives to su***de than on the battlefield. Then he signed an executive order to accelerate entheogenic research and expand veteran access.

At No Fallen Heroes Foundation, we didn’t wait. We’ve been sponsoring healing retreats for over 5 years - ib0gaine, psil0cybin, 5-MeO-DMT - for veterans, first responders, and their families. Operating responsibly with the reverence these warriors deserve.

22 veterans a day are still dying. We think that number is sadly higher.

The science is there. The political will is there. The personal proof is undeniable - we’ve helped hundreds heal service related trauma.

These warriors are not broken. They are not out of options.

The mission is clear and we’re proud to be on the frontlines of this fight.

Our 2025 Annual Debrief is out.

Despite a challenging environment for charitable donations, the No Fallen Heroes Foundation expanded direct impact by nearly 200%. More than 50 veterans, first responders, and family members were served through healing retreats in the United States and abroad.

2025 was also the year this work moved into the national conversation - the New York Times, Fox News, Military Times, a House Oversight investigation into fighter pilot brain trauma, a one on one meeting with and the VA Secretary in Washington, and a panel at Harvard Law School.

And yet the federal grant system said no. We applied for the Staff Sergeant Gordon Parker Fox Su***de Prevention Grant. We received a form letter.

While government systems debate, delay, and defer, we are actively reducing veteran su***de. The outcomes are measurable. The testimony from participants, spouses, and parents is consistent: lives restored, families made whole.

As we enter 2026, we are prioritizing corporate partners, high-net-worth donors, and recurring grassroots support to sustain and scale this work.
