What does a client truly expect when hiring a designer?
Not a beautiful room — but a controlled transformation.
This Florida Room had character — and nearly 100-year-old wood ceilings and floors that had to be preserved.
We dismantled almost everything else.
Outdated systems, walls, and structural layers — all rebuilt from the inside out.
The biggest challenge with historic homes is unpredictability.
You open the walls and never know what you’ll find.
Our job is not just to design —
but to manage the process with precision:
— respect architectural heritage
— control budget and timeline
— supervise contractors
— integrate modern systems seamlessly
— increase long-term property value
Today, this space feels effortless.
But behind that lightness is strategy, engineering, and discipline.
Professional design is not decoration.
It is the balance between preservation and progress —
And that balance creates real value.

The smartest luxury decision we made?
We didn’t replace everything.
When renovating this 1935 home in a historic neighborhood.
The easiest choice would have been full demolition.
New ceiling.
New millwork.
Start from zero.
But here’s what most homeowners don’t realize:
Replacing original architectural elements in historic homes can increase renovation costs by 20–35% —
and potentially decrease long-term property value.
Instead, we protected the investment.
- Restoring the original wood ceiling saved approximately $25,000–$40,000 compared to full reconstruction.
- Refinishing the built-in shelving preserved architectural integrity and avoided an additional $15,000+ in custom millwork.
At the same time, we elevated the space strategically:
— New flooring for a modern foundation
— Updated spatial flow
— High-end furnishings layered intentionally
— A curated balance between heritage and contemporary luxury
The result?
A living room that feels refined and current —
while preserving the historic soul that supports property appreciation.
In historic Miami neighborhoods, original details can add 10–20% more resale appeal when properly restored rather than replaced.
Luxury isn’t about erasing the past.
It’s about increasing value — aesthetically and financially.
This wasn’t just a redesign.
It was asset protection.
If you own a historic home,
Renovate with strategy — not impulse.

The biggest bathroom budget mistakes I see — and how to avoid them.
A beautiful bathroom doesn’t become expensive because of marble or custom cabinetry.
It becomes expensive because of wrong decisions made at the wrong time.
Here are the most common mistakes that ruin the budget:
1. Starting construction without a full design plan.
When selections aren’t finalized, changes happen mid-project.
And changes during construction are always expensive.
2. Moving plumbing after demolition begins.
Layout decisions made too late can add thousands in labor and delays.
3. Choosing materials emotionally, not strategically.
That trendy tile might look good today — but will it age well?
Will it delay the timeline due to lead times?
4. Hiring contractors without proper coordination.
Miscommunication = rework.
Rework = budget increase.
How to avoid this?
Design comes first. Always.
A clear layout.
Finalized materials. Defined budget strategy.
Professional oversight on site.
Luxury is not about spending more.
It’s about making smart decisions before the first tile is installed.
If you’re planning a bathroom remodel in Miami,
save this post — and plan wisely.

If you had seen this bathroom before,
you would’ve probably said: “It’s easier to tear everything down.”
And that’s exactly what we did.
From a space with no soul —
to a complete transformation.
Walls, plumbing, lighting, electrical — rebuilt from the ground up to create a bathroom where every inch works for comfort, beauty, and function.
Natural calming tones.
Textured tiles you want to touch.
Italian furniture.
Smart, seamless storage.
Luxury that isn’t just seen — it’s felt.
Today, this is more than a bathroom.
It’s a daily ritual.
A private spa.
A place to reset, recharge, and start every morning right.
The client said it best:
“Every morning feels like a fresh start. This isn’t just a renovation — it’s a whole new lifestyle.”

This bathroom evokes a sense of refined serenity and quiet opulence. The warm wood paneling grounds the space, softening the marble and metal and adding a tactile richness that feels both luxurious and comforting. The brass fixtures introduce an understated sense of glamour, catching the light like intentional accents—almost like jewelry for the room. The symmetry in the double vanity creates visual calm, offering a subtle sense of order where everything has its place. The marble surfaces elevate the design with timeless elegance, their veining adding organic movement so the space never feels static or sterile. The dark metallic sconces add contrast and depth; their cylindrical form is modern, yet their placement flanking the mirrors feels classic, beautifully bridging eras. This design doesn’t just look expensive—it feels emotionally intelligent, honoring your rituals, elevating your mood, and making even the mundane feel beautiful.
