It’s Blackfin Tuna time in South Florida. These incredibly tasty fish can be caught in depths of 300’ to 90’. Live bait is the preferred technique by flying Goggle Eyes on the kite or flat lining Pilchards on the other side. This fish was caught in the LHPSSA Hat Tournament a few weeks ago. The Florida Keys has one of the best fisheries in the world for Dolphin (Mahi). From late spring through early fall, schools of Dolphin will be offshore between 400’ of water to the Swordfish grounds.
