June Is Men’s Health Month.
For generations, men have been told to “man up.” Stay strong. Stay silent. Push through.
But real strength isn’t pretending you’re okay when you’re not.
Real strength is having the courage to speak up, ask for help, and let others support you.
At Next Level Wellness & Behavioral Health, we believe healing starts with connection. Whether you're navigating mental health challenges, substance use, life transitions, or simply feeling overwhelmed, you don’t have to carry it alone. Through personalized, concierge-level behavioral healthcare and recovery support, our team helps individuals and families find hope, guidance, and lasting change.
To every man reading this:
It’s okay to struggle. It’s okay to feel anxious, sad, or overwhelmed. It’s okay to ask for help. It’s okay to talk about your feelings. It’s okay to be human.
This month, let’s replace “man up” with “speak up.”
If you or someone you love needs support, know that help is available and healing is possible.
At Next Level, we look at mental health the same way we look at any other health issue: if something hurts, it deserves care. When you’re sleeping the day away, moving through life on autopilot, or feeling like you’ve lost your spark, it’s not a personality flaw or a motivation problem. It’s a sign your nervous system is overwhelmed and needs support, not more pressure.
Our therapists help you slow down, make sense of what’s really going on, and see your experience from a new angle instead of just “pushing through.” Together, you’ll explore practical tools, lifestyle shifts, and, when it makes sense, collaborate with providers around options like medication so your brain and body can actually start to recalibrate. You don’t have to wait for a total collapse to ask for help, and you don’t have to prove you’re “sick enough” to deserve care.
At Next Level, needing support doesn’t make you weak, dramatic, or broken. It makes you human. And you’re allowed to get the kind of help that moves you from barely getting by to actually feeling present in your life again.

June is Men’s Mental Health Month.
Mental illness is not a choice. Silence is not strength. And stigma has cost far too many lives.
The statistics are difficult to read, but they highlight a reality we can no longer ignore: too many men struggle in silence because they were taught to hide pain, suppress emotion, and carry burdens alone.
At Next Level, we believe real strength is found in vulnerability. Speaking up, asking for help, and having honest conversations can save lives. Whether you're a father, brother, son, friend, or colleague, your mental health matters.
If you're struggling, know this: you are not alone. There is support, there is hope, and there are people who want to help.
Let's continue breaking the stigma and creating space for men to be heard, supported, and understood. 💙

Eating disorders don't have a look.
They affect people of every age, gender, body type, background, and life experience. Yet harmful stereotypes continue to make it harder for many individuals to recognize their struggles and seek help.
This World Eating Disorders Action Day, take a moment to learn the signs, support those who may be struggling, and help create conversations that reduce stigma and encourage recovery.
Awareness leads to understanding. Understanding leads to compassion. And compassion can help save lives.
At Next Level Recovery, we believe everyone deserves access to support, healing, and hope—regardless of what their struggle looks like on the outside.
Together, we can build a world where no one feels alone in their recovery journey.
Grief has a way of convincing us the pain will never end.
That we’ll always feel this heavy.
That hope is out of reach.
In a recent conversation with Anderson Cooper, Mariska Hargitay shared how learning to tolerate her pain—rather than run from it—allowed it to slowly soften over time.
To name the feeling.
To sit with it.
To say, “I’m really sad,” and let the tears come.
When we stop avoiding our grief and instead meet it with gentleness, a small shift happens.
A bit of relief. A reminder that we are strong enough to move through what we feel.
At Next Level Wellness & Behavioral Health, we believe healing begins with this kind of compassion—for ourselves and for the parts of us that are still hurting.
You are not alone in your grief.
You are allowed to feel it.
And you don’t have to navigate it by yourself.
If you’re carrying a loss that feels heavy, support is here.

At Next Level Wellness & Behavioral Health, we believe healing can take many forms—and sometimes, it comes with four legs and a calming presence.
Meet Minnow, a rescue turned therapy companion who naturally became an important part of our coaching sessions and community events. Animal-assisted therapy can be incredibly powerful during moments of stress, anxiety, or even tough, vulnerable conversations.
When emotions feel overwhelming or a panic response starts to rise, having a grounding presence like Minnow can help bring clients back to a place of calm and safety. It creates space to slow down, regulate, and reconnect.
But the impact goes even further. Animal-assisted therapy encourages movement, time outdoors, and connection to nature—all of which support mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Sometimes, getting out of your head starts with getting outside, taking a walk, and being present.
This Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re highlighting the many ways healing can happen—and how simple, supportive tools like this can make a meaningful difference.

You’re worried about your teen… and you’re tired of feeling helpless.
Maybe you’ve noticed your teen’s mood swing from withdrawn to explosive in what feels like seconds.
Maybe their grades are slipping, they’re isolating from friends and family, or you’ve started to see signs of substance use. You’ve tried talking, setting rules, being understanding, and still, nothing seems to really change.
On top of that, you might be quietly wondering: “Is this normal teen behavior… or is something more serious going on?”
When your teen is facing both mental health challenges and substance use, you’re not just worried, you’re scared, exhausted, and unsure what to do next.
Dual diagnosis means your teen is dealing with both a mental health condition and substance use at the same time, and those two issues can fuel each other, making everything feel more confusing and overwhelming.
This guide was created specifically for families like yours, so you can understand what’s happening and respond with clarity instead of panic.
Inside, you’ll get:
-A simple breakdown of dual diagnosis and how it affects mood, decision-making, and behavior in teens.
-A checklist of common signs that your teen might be struggling with both mental health and substance use.
-Examples of how these conditions often show up together (like anxiety with cannabis use, ADHD with alcohol, or trauma with substance use).
-Guidance on when it’s time to seek professional help and what kind of support actually addresses both issues.

At Next Level, we believe healing starts with connection.
Sometimes the people struggling the most are the ones who seem the strongest, smile the biggest, or never ask for help at all. Mental health challenges aren’t always visible, which is why checking in matters.
Reach out to the friend who’s been quiet lately. The family member navigating change. The person who always shows up for everyone else. Even a simple “how are you really doing?” can remind someone they’re not alone.
Your check-in could make more of a difference than you realize. 💙
