At Changing Lives, access to opportunity starts with the right tools. πŸ’™

Here is a look inside our new computer room at the Changing Lives office, created to give our clients a place to take important next steps toward stability and independence.

This space allows clients to create resumes, apply for jobs, check and send emails, complete online forms, and apply for government assistance and other essential resources.

For many individuals working to rebuild their lives, having access to a computer, internet, and support can make a major difference. This room is more than a workspace. It is a place where goals become action, applications get submitted, and new opportunities begin.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our mission and help provide the resources our clients need to move forward.

Meet Torianno Howard β€” a true Changing Lives success story. πŸ’™

After nearly a year in our program, Torianno has remained sober, secured steady employment, moved into his own apartment, and is now paying his own rent. Through his hard work, dedication, and commitment to rebuilding his life, he also became eligible for a donated vehicle through Changing Lives and is now making payments toward his own car.

Torianno’s journey reflects the heart of our mission and the power of our pillars of transformation: stability, responsibility, independence, and hope.

Stories like Torianno’s are possible because of the continued support of our community. Thank you for helping us create opportunities that truly change lives.

Stay tuned for more updates on Torianno’s continued success.

At Changing Lives, we believe healing can happen in many ways β€” including through music. 🎢

During a recent Saturday Morning Oureach Mission Service, one of our clients shared his voice and guitar with us, creating a meaningful moment of connection, expression, and hope. Music therapy can be a powerful way to bring comfort, confidence, and community to those experiencing homelessness.

Every person has a story, a gift, and a reason to be heard. Thank you to our clients, volunteers, and supporters who help create moments like this.

Together, we can continue changing lives and working toward ending homelessness.

Rashard Perry, Violence Prevention Educator with AVDA, joined us at our Unity Day event to share more about the important work their agency does to support victims of domestic abuse, educate the community, prevent relationship violence, and help keep our community safer.

We are grateful to AVDA for standing with us and for the vital services they provide to individuals and families in need.

Recently at Changing Lives, the Department of Health joined us to provide free HIV testing for our clients during our outreach efforts.

Access to health resources is an important part of helping people move forward with dignity, care, and support. We are grateful for community partners who show up, serve, and help connect our clients with services that can make a meaningful difference in their lives.

Thank you to the Department of Health for being part of the mission and helping us continue to meet people where they are. πŸ™

We are incredibly grateful to Oceanside Church for their generosity and support during a recent Saturday Morning Outreach Mission. Through their kindness, they purchased and donated lunch from Pollo Tropical for our clients, helping us serve our community with care, compassion, and dignity.

Acts of kindness like this make a real difference, and we are thankful to partner with people and organizations who share our heart for helping others.

Thank you, Oceanside Church, for being part of the mission. Together, we are changing lives. ❀️

Saturday Morning Outreach is about more than meals, clothing, and resources. It is about coming together in faith, compassion, and community. πŸ™

This week, our outreach circle paused for a heartfelt prayer, lifting up everyone gathered, giving thanks for the strength to make positive decisions, and asking for protection, guidance, and healing over those who are part of the Changing Lives family.

Moments like this remind us why this mission matters. Every person deserves dignity, hope, and the chance to take the next step forward.

Thank you to our volunteers, supporters, and community members who continue to show up with love and purpose.
