Outdoor Youth Adventures
We are able to do so through educational programs, exploration, and adventure.
Everything we do at OYA is to enhance the lives of youth by providing them opportunities to get outside, experience the outdoors, & become stewards of our environment.

Thank you so much to the IGFA for partnering with OYA to help further educate our local youth on the joys of fishing, and the importance of ethical angling. We are excited to continue our partnership, and reach as many youth as possible.

Giving Tuesday 2020 is fast approaching, and the Outdoor Youth Adventures team hopes you will consider supporting a child or classroom to get outdoors and learn about the many different Florida ecosystems. Participants in OYA programming learn valuable science education, as well as healthy outdoor activities they can safely do with friends and family. We reached hundreds of deserving students this year, thanks to the generous community support, and we hope to grow even larger in 2021 through your support.

What a summer we had with all the campers who attended our Freshwater Fishing and Boaters Safety Camp at Lake Ida. Each week the campers were introduced to fishing and boaters safety, learned to operate a boat out on the lake, and landed monster fish. The campers were able to land Largemouth Bass, Peacock Bass, Clown Knifefish, Sunshine Bass, Catfish, Blue-Gills, and Sunfish; and many of the campers caught their very first first at camp this summer. We are so grateful to all those that helped make the program possible this summer. Thank you so much to Florida Youth Conservation Centers Network Networking to Help Children West Marine IGFA ; without all your support, this camp would not have been possible.

During this unprecedented time of uncertainty, there is one lesson we have all learned....we can do amazing things if we work together. Over the last few weeks we have seen people step up in a number of ways. Whether it be supporting local organizations, thanking front-line workers, or simply reaching out to a neighbor who needs help. Through all this we have learned we can get through this together. It may not be easy or fun, but we will get through this.
May 5, 2020, has been designated as a global day of giving and coming together, and we hope you will consider helping Outdoor Youth Adventures get our students back out into nature, and exploring the wonders of science and the environment. We typical fund our programming through fundraising events, and due to social distancing, we have not been able to hold any events. We are grateful for all the community support, and hope you will consider helping provide camp for some very deserving students this summer. Please visit www.OYA4kids.org for more information about our organization, and to donate. We are extremely appreciative for your consideration and for sharing our mission with your family and friends.
