I joined up with Salvatore Mattei at Stick March near Fellsmere, FL to visit the Roseate Spoonbill rookery. The number of spoonbills was small since most of the nestlings had fledged and flew away. But a few fledglings remained and were being fed by their parents. There were good shots of a few Limpkins and a Great Egret in breeding plumcage. Alsa a Snowy Egret flew by. I got some decent pictures.

I led two groups of members from Whisper Walk in Boca Raton on a birding tour of Wakodahatchee on 3/17 and 3/23. Many of South Florida's magnificent wading birds were in various phases of their nesting cycles as illustrated. All had eye opening experiences to one of nature's marvelous spectacles.

Went to Wakodahatchee with Bob Woll in the morning. There were lots of new hatchlings - egrets, herons, and many storks. The adults were very busy flying to and fro with food for the chicks and also nesting materials.
