River Monster Guide Service

It’s been a while since I posted last and ironically it was 3 days shy of 1 year ago that I took Alex and his dad on a beautiful section of the New River near the NC/VA line. Well Alex brought his buddy Matt along for this one and we had a day! Alex
matched his PB from our last trip with a 4.2lb - 20.5 inch beast and Matt got his PB with a 4.12 - 22 inch monster. Thanks guys. It was my pleasure and I am looking forward to our spring trip.

Some days are simply better than others, and we certainly had one of those on our float starting in VA, flowing into NC, and ending in VA. A special “thank you” to Alex and Alan for allowing me to spend an incredible day on a beautiful section of the New River with them. We not only caught fish from start to finish, but they both were able to catch their PB smallies with a 3 lb - 19 inch, and a monster 4 lb 12 oz - 22 incher. Thanks guys for the opportunity. I’m blessed for sure.

A huge “thank you” to Alex and Mike for allowing me to take them down the beautiful Nolichucky River. We had a great day and caught some fish in the dog days heatwave.

I’ve seen lots of my friends and clients with hooks in them, had my fair share stuck in me as well, but this one hurt me the most. He was such a brave little dude though, tough as nails. He’s doing great today, thank God!

To say we had a great weekend trip would be an understatement. It was on fire! We boated nearly 200 fish with a 4.12, 4.0, 3.8, and 3.1 as the biggest. There were too many in the 2-2 1/2 lb range to count. If you want an excellent trip, on a beautiful river with incredible smallmouth opportunities, hit me up!

Fall smallies on the Nolichucky River! East TN never disappoints.

This was our second trip together since last fall and I couldn’t be more happy with our results. We had a great day on the New River, VA and wore the bass out even though a could front blew through and pushed them down. Thanks Maribel and Mike, I can’t wait for our next float with 2 boats!

The French Broad River, TN was good to us today. Thanks to Rod and Allen for traveling from New York to let me put them on some southern bass and walleye. We had 4 species in the boat today - smallmouth, largemouth, spotted bass, and walleye. Even the guide got a good one.

A little late posting but my good friend Smiley, his dad, Scott and I had an epic day on the New River. If we had landed the big girls that were smashing top water baits in 4-5 inches of water it would have put at least 1 - 5 pounder, and 2 - 4’s in the boat. Thanks guys it was one to remember.
