Yes, there is a new iOS feature called NameDrop. NO, it cannot and will not automatically unlock and transfer information from your phone to someone else’s phone. You can turn it off via your settings. Go to settings > General > Airdrop > . Here you can either turn airdrop off completely. Make it contacts only, or everyone for 10 minutes. Below these options is the one you “should” turn off if you’re concerned about it. It says “Bringing devices together” and is on by default. Slide the switch and you’re done

None of these are legitimate, ever. USPS/UPS/FedEx/Amazon/etc. will never contact you via a text to tell you your address is messed up or that you owe money, or any of the hundreds of other excuses I’ve seen. You should do one of 2 things in this situation… 1. Find the nastiest image you can find on google and send it back to them. Or if you want to be boring, just block them 😀.

I know passwords are nothing but a pain in the backside, but as this graphic shows, they are important to make your passwords longer and harder to crack! And NEVER use your passwords on more than one website/app!

. These kinds of posts are out of hand in local swap n shop and community groups. Don’t beliege any of them, just report them to the admins and block them. No legit post will block comments from happening! Don’t fall for it!

these kinds of comments are making their rounds yet again, do NOT fall for this crap! There are several indications that this is nothing but an attempt to steal your information.
1. The persons name doesn’t necessarily match the profile picture. For proof, click the persons name, click on their profile pic, it’s always going to be a woman, probably “pretty”, now swipe, the next picture will NOT be the same woman, nor a woman at all!
2. The link they post, it’s always young to say something about cash in it.
3. It’s the golden rule, “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is”

Tip of the day: if you receive a text like this, do NOT CLICK THE LINK. Open the text and then delete it, do not reply to it either! The same goes for the texts that state you have a package waiting for you. They are NOT legit, they are trying to steal your information!

Built this PC for a client today, he got a pretty sweet setup! That’s right people, I also do PC builds, not just repairs!
Just saw on the local news, heard it beforehand but if it’s big enough for the news to air it I want to warn my followers.
If someone calls you and says that they owe you money due to a company closing, tell them you never paid them any money and hang up the phone. They are persistent! They get you to give them remote access to your computer so they can open a browser and direct you to a page. At that page they tell you to type in however much you are owed, say $300. So you type in 300, and before the prompt disappears there is an extra zero added, then they tell you that you just agreed to pay them $3,000.
Don’t think you can outsmart them, just hang up and block the number they are calling from.
PC need a tuneup? Got viruses? Need some hardware repaired? I can do it all! Just message me or call me to talk about it!
Merry Christmas everyone! Be the reason for the season!
