Il Porcellino is a bronze statue and fountain in Florence. According to popular legend, people who rub the snout of the wild boar will have good luck and will someday return to Florence. The sculpture, in the city's Mercato Nuovo, is a modern copy (cast in 1998) of the original 17th century sculpture.
