Aska Awaits

It's late June so it's time for a favorite summer tradition - blueberry picking at 5 Sons Farm in Talking Rock. We always love seeing John, spending time in the field picking berries, and of course, eating 5Sons famous blueberry lemon scones, which are heavenly.

5 Sons is under an hour from Aska Awaits. We recommend arriving as early as you can because it gets hot in the full sun.

After you finish picking, be sure to stop in downtown Ellijay at The Shack of EllijayThe Shack of Ellijay for some incredible Asian fusion or Cantaberry Restaurant for great sandwiches and salads.

From there, it's a short drive to Cherry Log where you can hop on scenic Rock Creek Road on your way to Fall Branch Falls, a favorite waterfall hike close to home!

Emery Creek is a great summer hike to put on your adventure checklist. With over 18 creek crossings on this shady 6 mile out-and-back hike, you'll definitely get your feet wet.

This awesome trail is located between Chatsworth and Ellijay, just an hour from Aska Awaits. We recommend downloading AllTrails and downloading a map of the trail to help keep you on track!

On your way home, stop in downtown Ellijay reward yourself with some gelato at Ellijay's Little Italian.

It’s a beautiful summer evening. The fireflies put on quite a show at dusk and there were deer darting across the road. Summer in the mountains is a magical time!
