We are a sister owned shop that sells sea creatures handmade from repurposed materials out of Charlo She is always learning, tinkering, and creating new things.

Bertie Blue Shop is the creative endeavor of two sisters, Kirsten and Kendal. Kendal's son, Henry, is the perfect customer for all things cute, so he inspired some of our first handmade sea creatures. We are passionate about using repurposed materials, and everything is made with love on our grandmother's 1954 Singer sewing machine. We are inspired every day by family, friends, and other makers. Kirsten and Jon got engaged on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Charlottesville. I commissioned to recreate and paint the scene on a champagne bottle for their engagement gift. As usual, blows me away with her endless talent💙

We were honored to create so many beautiful sea creatures for the sweetest person. We used clothing pieces of her grandparents to make every part of a sea turtle, dolphin, and starfish ornaments. We love making such special pieces💙
