Sometimes the path forward doesn’t look wide open.

Sometimes it looks tight, uncomfortable, and nothing like the route you would have chosen.

But a narrow path is still a path.

Not every season is about moving fast. Some seasons are about learning how to keep moving when the way forward feels small.

Keep going. The opening may be closer than you think.

I’ve really let myself go… 😔

I used to weigh just **10½ pounds.**
Now look at me. 😂

It’s been a rough few decades. 💀

Life is a lot like golf.

If you stand over the ball thinking about the entire hole, the water, the bunker, the scorecard, the next three shots, it gets blurry fast.

But when you narrow your focus to the one shot in front of you, everything gets clearer.

Pick the target.
Trust the swing.
Take the shot.

Then do it again.

Life works the same way.

We get overwhelmed when we try to solve the whole week, the whole year, or the whole future at once.

But clarity usually comes when we focus on the ONE thing that matters most right now.

You don’t have to see the whole course.

You just need to know your next shot.

Sometimes feeling lost doesn’t mean you’re off track.

It may just mean you’re in a season where the path isn’t obvious yet.

Growth can feel uncertain. Change can feel uncomfortable. And sometimes the next step doesn’t come with a perfect map.

But being lost in the woods just means you’re still moving.

Keep going. Keep learning. Keep trusting the process.

You may be closer than you think.

This one means a lot to me.

Valorie, thank you for trusting me enough to let me be part of your journey. Watching someone grow in confidence, build momentum, and start believing more deeply in what they’re capable of is one of my favorite parts of coaching.

I’m grateful for the wins, but even more grateful for the conversations, the work, and the growth that happens behind the scenes.

Proud of you, Val. And I’m looking forward to a lot more wins together.

You can’t pour from an empty cup.

For a long time, I think a lot of us were taught that showing up for everyone else meant putting ourselves last.

But eventually, empty catches up with you.

Rest matters. Time with family matters. Your health matters. Your faith matters. Creating space to recharge matters.

Taking care of yourself isn’t about doing less for others.

It’s about making sure you have something left to give when the people you love and lead need you most.

Show up fully. Fill your cup. Then pour from overflow.

Some of the best things in life are waiting on the other side of discomfort.

Growth is uncomfortable.
Change is uncomfortable.
Saying no is uncomfortable.
Letting go is uncomfortable.
Choosing a different path is uncomfortable.

But discomfort is not always a warning sign.

Sometimes it is evidence that you are being stretched into the person you are supposed to become.

And if you can stay with it long enough, what once felt chaotic can eventually lead you somewhere quieter, clearer, and more grounded.

Embrace the discomfort.
It may be carrying you toward still waters.

Your circle matters more than you think.

The people closest to you influence what you normalize, what you tolerate, what you believe is possible, and how quickly you grow.

The right people will challenge you, encourage you, tell you the truth, and remind you who you are when you forget.

So be intentional about who gets a front-row seat in your life.

You don’t need a huge circle.

You need the right one.

I remember this moment so clearly.

It was my first year in real estate, and if I’m being completely transparent, I was carrying a lot more than people probably realized.

Doubt. Fear. Imposter syndrome. Questions about whether I was really good enough to do this.

I was young. I was new. I didn’t have the experience everyone else seemed to have. And there were plenty of voices, some from other people and plenty from inside my own head telling me all the reasons I might not make it.

Then came this board.

I remember standing back and watching other people go first because, truthfully, I needed to borrow a little of their confidence.

I remember walking up for my turn still wondering, Can I actually do this?

And then something changed.

Everything got quiet.

The doubts disappeared.

The fear disappeared.

And standing directly in front of me was one person who completely believed I could do it.

For that moment, I borrowed their belief until I could find my own.

Then I struck the board.

And it broke.

Looking back, I know I wasn’t just breaking a piece of wood.

I was shattering a narrative.

That I was too young.

Too new.

Not experienced enough.

Not talented enough.

Not ready.

Not good enough.

Something shifted in me that day.

It was this realization that maybe the biggest thing standing between me and the life I was capable of building wasn’t my experience, my age, my circumstances, or what anyone else thought about me.

Maybe it was simply whether or not I believed I could.

And once that board broke, something inside me broke free with it.

There was no stopping me from that point forward.

So if you’re sitting on the sidelines right now because you’re scared, uncertain, or waiting until you finally feel “ready,” I hope you hear this:

YOU ARE POWERFUL.

You are talented.

You have gifts, abilities, ideas, and purpose that this world needs from you.

You don’t need everyone to believe in you.

Sometimes you just need one person to believe in you long enough for you to start believing in yourself.

Stop waiting.

Stop shrinking.

Stop letting an old narrative decide what you’re capable of.

It’s time to step forward.

It’s time to break through.

It’s time to start living your purpose.
