Seniors in our community are reporting 15 or more daily calls from people claiming to help with Medicare. Most are scams.

A real Medicare agent will:
✅Tell you who they work
✅Have a physical office you can visit
✅Ask about YOUR situation, not force decisions
✅Never ask for your Medicare number unsolicited
✅Be part of your local community

Scammers will:
🚫Never identify their company
🚫Promise "free" upgrades, new cards, or benefits
🚫Ask for personal info over the phone
🚫Use high-pressure tactics
🚫Disappear after they get what they want

The Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office Senior Focus Program invites you to our next Senior Social on Friday, August 21st, at 11:30 a.m., hosted at Fincastle Baptist Church, 7330 Roanoke Road, Fincastle.

Join us for an informative and welcoming event designed to support our Botetourt senior community. We will have a variety of vendors on site providing information about public and private services available to seniors. Services include daily well being checks, general health resources, financial assistance, and local government services that can help you plan for future needs.

The event, all services, and lunch are completely FREE for our Botetourt seniors!
