Lilac Rising

Yesterday was SUCH a fun day at the Downtown Bloomington Farmers' Market! 💜🥧☕️

We loved getting to meet so many people, share more about Lilac Rising’s mission, talk a little Duende III, and, of course, hand out Thanksgiving pie samples from Common Grounds Cafe & Pie Shop.

And because pie samples deserve a proper sidekick, our friend Coffee Brett from Coffee With Einstein Coffee Co. kept the cold brew flowing! ☕️

Now that you’ve had a taste… GET YOUR PIE. 🥧

Thank you, Bloomington, for spending part of your Saturday with us. We love getting out into the community and sharing what Lilac Rising is all about. 💜

It is absolutely NOT too early to start thinking about Thanksgiving pie. In fact, we consider this excellent planning.

This year, let someone else handle dessert! Order a delicious Thanksgiving pie from our wonderful friends at Common Grounds Cafe & Pie Shop and support Lilac Rising at the same time. 💜

Choose from Dutch Apple, Pecan, Pumpkin, or Cherry, then pick up your pie right here in Bloomington at Keg Grove Brewing Company - Bloomington on Tuesday, November 24 from 3–7 PM.

Your pie will be par-baked and frozen, ready to defrost, heat, serve, and accept all the compliments.

Community partners are what make this work possible. 💜

A huge thank you to Perfection Wheels and Hermes Service and Sales for helping us support three women in just the last couple of weeks.

These partnerships matter because when a car needs repaired or an essential home system stops working, we need trusted local businesses we can call. Businesses we know will answer the phone, understand what we’re trying to accomplish, and work with us to solve the problem quickly. Lilac Rising pays for the services, and our partners provide the expertise that helps us turn that assistance into action.

That relationship allows us to be the bridge, helping a woman get through an unexpected expense without one setback becoming a financial crisis.

We’re incredibly grateful to Perfection Auto and Hermes Service and Sales for being businesses we can count on when the call comes. 💜

This is what community partnership looks like.

When women rise, barriers fall, and futures are rewritten.

The people who change a community aren't always the ones in the spotlight.

They're the ones who notice. They listen. They lend a hand. They choose compassion over convenience and action over indifference. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, becomes part of something bigger.

Together, we build communities where women know they are seen, supported, and never alone. 💜

Sometimes, all it takes is one moment of support to keep everything from unraveling.

At Lilac Rising, we focus on immediate, one-time financial assistance that helps women navigate unexpected hardships, whether it's repairing a car, fixing a furnace, replacing a water heater, or covering another essential need.

Because when a woman can keep her job, stay safely in her home, and move forward with confidence, the impact reaches far beyond that single moment.

We don't extend the timeline. We solve the moment. 💜
