Movement Exchange at Indiana University

Move-Ex IU has ventured into the world this winter break, dancing through the New Year's Eve and made very special connections that are long-lasting despite distance. All thanks to Movement Exchange Panama Dance Exchange. Back to campus for over a month and though our hearts yearn for Chepo and Panama City, the dancers at Move-Ex IU still strive everyday to bring dance education to children of Bloomington, engage in civic development and translate any language barriers into the universal language of dance.

Panama Dance Exchange was a transformational experience for us. Not only did we gave dance lessons, but also received so much from Panama. The folklore and modern dance classes, the amazing New Year's Eve feast, the wonderful new friends. We all came back to IU with our hearts full of new perspective and enthusiasm for even more civic engagement ideas!

Movement Exchange is looking for a volunteer to join the dance diplomats at Girls Inc. every Thursday from 5-6pm, preferably who drives!
