This little painting sold 10 years ago before it was even dry, and I miss it still. It’s called “Goffered Frill”. Rich folks during the Elizabethan times wouldn’t be caught dead without this fashionable collar made by crimping starched fabric with hot tongs called goffering irons. Sharp👌✨

4 years ago a beautiful family came into Clash while their son was at orientation for IU. For 4 long years, every time they visited him in Bloomington, they tried their very best to convince me to let go of my original painting of My Michaelangelo’s Mary. I still need to keep her!💕 But finally, as their son is about to graduate and their visits to Bloomington are coming to an end, they decided to take a life-sized print on canvas home— # 1 of 10. Now everyone is happy! (They say it is a placeholder, and they are waiting for the original 🥹) I can’t believe I’ve had Clash for 4 years now, and am so thankful for all the new friends from near and far that I have met along the way.
