Ophidian Farm

Hi all! We've been quiet for some time, after a few difficult and unproductive seasons. We've largely pivoted away from fruit jams (keeping it safe from the animals around here is a real uphill battle, they're just relentless) but the bees have sure been making up for it! This is looking to be a record year for honey, there is plenty to go around. $10 per lb, in nice labeled glass jars.

I also do have smaller quantities of jam - blueberry, raspberry, strawberr-vanilla, yellow peach, and vanilla-bourbon peach (my favorite). $8 per 8 oz jar.

Hi all,
we've been quiet lately as fruit production has been way down recently. But our bees are doing great this year, an overwintered hive just generated a very healthy spring crop! It came out a beautiful light blonde color, very mild and sweet (it all depends on what they've been foraging on, the autumn crop will probably be darker). Completely raw and all natural - none of the processing or sweeteners you find in the supermarket stuff.

$8 a jar while it lasts! No-contact pickup available at our place in Bloomfield (or wherever you run into Kate or I).

We do still have just a few holdovers of last season's jams as well (I have a little apple pie, caramel apple, chocolate raspberry, strawberry vanilla, Asian pear, ginger pear, and sugar plum left).

Ophidian Farm will be at the St. Thomas the Apostle Christmas Bazaar this Sunday from 9am-1pm! 25 Dover Rd. in West Hartford. We will have all of our jams and honey available. But we normally sell out of quite a bit at this event, so come stop by and stock up!

Hi all! Long delayed update - this season, bad weather and unruly wildlife have teamed up to make for a very poor harvest. So offerings will be much more limited than last year, but we'll still have some production ready soon! On the flip side, we may have a VERY little bit of fresh, raw honey available for the first time this year!
