"Closet Monsters" the debut and semi-autobiography film by Stephen Dunn is a stylize ind-masterpiece that takes you into the mind of an 18 year old accepting his sexuality - with a narcissistic but caring father, and an abandoning but loving mother. The film substitute the inner monologue with "hyper" visuals. And trades in his conversation with oneself with that of a pet hamster.

CT folks,
If you missed "Nocturnal Animals" during its wide release back in November, it's now playing for a limited time over at RealArtWays. Saw it tonight. Excellent all around. I was so drawn into it, had me on the edge of my seat, and hands and scarf over my face. That was how gripping it was.
For about the last ten years now, I've been having various jobs on different productions, both in motion picture and print/digital photography, tonight I start my journey on the other end of of the camera. My first acting class.

I saw this on "Sunday Morning" last week, sorry I couldn't find the original video. But please read the article then watch the doc on HBO, this is some beautiful work. Also the attention to Greenfield-Sanders uses of a traditional large format camera, gives me hope for the future.

A sample from The Criterion Collection edition of Boyhood; A Photo Essay by the film´s still photographer Matt Lankes Photography with a verbal essay/commentary by the films lead, subject, Ellar Coltrane, talking about playing and portraying the character of Mason over the series of time. Speaking about how we all play characters, rolls, and how he is slowly moving away from that character. That and with the other features on the blu - ray, of the film´s, director, Richard Linklater, speaking about the autobiographical nature of the film, I can´t help but make a comparison to photographer Sally Mann and her ¨Family¨ series. Works where like Linklater, she tries to capture, reimagine, her childhood memories, featuring her children as her models - over the course of several years. Who themselves are playing a role, while working and collaborating with there mother, the photographer. In the same way that Linklater collaborates, on his art, his story, memories with his actors. Playing roles, who are and at the same time aren't to much like themselves.
Maybe in a strange way I also feel that is why, like the photographs of Mann´s, Linklater´s Boyhood is also telling my story too. No matter how distance my childhood was from Mason´s and that of childhood depicted in the photographs of Mann´s children.
Ellar Coltrane on BOYHOOD In this excerpt from a piece on our edition of Richard Linklater’s BOYHOOD, actor Ellar Coltrane reflects on his evolving relationship with Mason, the charac...

As promised, here some of the photos I took of folk music artist/activist Dan Sicken, while in Brattleboro VT, a few weeks prior. When processing these photos, I was listing to some of Dan's music to try to recapture some of that afternoon, so that I could hopefully pass some of that experience I felt, on to you (the viewer). I feel each of these photos presents a different part of Dan's personality. Enjoy!
To here some of Dan's music,
