Bloomfield Blessing Box

We just filled the Blessing Box. Upon opening the door, we discovered a few canned goods. We always appreciate someone taking the time and effort to help others, no matter how small or large. When I checked the dates on the food, as I always do, each and every can was EXPIRED by a lot!
Please don’t waste our time. We had to put it all in the dumpster.
Respect the fact that people in our community may be going through a difficult stretch and need some help to make it through. Imagine how they must have felt when the only food in the box should have been thrown away.

We appreciate all of the donations received. Please do not leave any expired items. They will be discarded. All hygiene, cleaning, and paper goods are needed. Food donations can be left in the box or dropped off at our food pantry. For those who are using our blessing box, take only what you need. We want to help as many people as possible. Our community has been contributing to our Blessing Box ministry since we began in 2019. As we move into summer months, the needs change. Please consider donating sun screen and insect repellent along with the hygiene products, paper goods, and house hold cleaners. When you are out shopping, just pick up one or two extra items to donate. Thanks! May God Bless you as you bless others.

All donations to our Blessing Box are truly appreciated, but please do not leave EXPIRED FOOD in the box. We dispose of anything expired.
