Spent part of my snow day painting the tail of a redfish I caught several weeks ago. Felt good to do some watercolor again.

Hello there! It’s been a minute. I’ve been feeling a pull in directions other than art lately, but art will always have a special place in my heart. I’m sure I’ll get back to art one day, but for now, it’s not taking priority.

Watermelon slice earrings have been pretty popular at so far this season, so I’ve been working on getting more made. Today I’m painting the seeds to finish them off. Next I’ll be making more monarch wing earrings, the second most popular sell at the farm.

I've always loved a good abstract landscape painting and admired how other artists see the world, so I couldn't resist making my own "abstract landscape" earrings with some scrap threads. They have all sold, but should I make more?

Another flower painting, but this time the sticker version of the anemone flower! I found a flower shop who graciously sold me a few blooms that I could study to make out of crepe paper, but I couldn't resist also painting one, too! Their petals reminded me of a twirling skirt and watching the colors change as the flower aged was breathtakingly beautiful! I never really appreciated this flower until I was able to really observe them over those few days. Stop and smell the roses? Yes, that's nice, but also stop and observe all the little details of the beauty around you, too. ;)
