We are excited to host a Memorial Altar Box Workshop with this Saturday! Through this class, we will spread awareness for Día de los Mu***os Alabama and create an immersive art experience for people of ALL AGES to enjoy!
What to expect:
Participants will create a memorial altar box for a loved one they would like to remember. We provide the space, art teachers/creative help and materials.

Join an upcoming BCRI Volunteer Orientation! Volunteers are an essential part of our daily operations. We offer flexible volunteer schedules and no experience available. Must be 18 or older.

Join us as we dive into BCRI’s collection with archivist Wayne Coleman for a discussion on African Americans in Cinema! We’ll take a look through cinema over the years to show how African Americans have changed the film industry. Meet us in the Woolfolk Gallery on August 7th from 12-1pm.

Join us on Tuesday, August 6 at the BCRI as we commemorate the 2024 LYLP docents and completion of the Legacy STEM Enrichment Experience, as well as engage in gallery advancement research presented by BCRI Legacy alumni and ¡HICA! Intersectional Scholars (.alabama).
