Rain or shine or tropical storm Hanna and Evan were getting married. I've never had it rain that much at a wedding but with two amazing people along with great family and friends it turned out to be the perfect day.
Couldn't ask for a better couple to work with.
Anna and Matthew are some of the nicest, kindest peoples you will ever meet. Always so genuine and honestly so real. I loved getting to film their wedding.
They loved each other big and it showed. The day was perfect from the weahter to the letters they wrote to each other to the ceremony and everythiong in between. They were some of the best couples/families I have ever worked with. Thanks guys!!! It was fun!

Eric & Erica. Not a typo. Just like their names these two go together perfectly. From their amazing journey through a long distance relationship until now, the Stills have an amazing story. An improbable one really.
Would their relationship survive a long distance relationship and two different career paths? Thankfully it did and their big day was a celebration of that.
You couldn't have asked for a more perfect day in beautiful Birmingham, AL. The weather, the people, the venue (shoutout Mathews Manor) was all great. So thankful to Eric and Erica for allowing me to be apart. Congrats you guys!!!

Saturday's have slowly become my day to not have my phone with me all day. I just have to like sit and talk to people and if I'm bored I just keep being bored. Trust me it's not as bad as it seems.
As part of this "slowing down" from busy life awhile back I bought an old 35mm film camera. As a full time filmmaker I always want to enjoy what I do and don't want it to become a "job" Shooting on film helped me do that.
I love that its imperfect, sometimes out of focus or overexposed, but it looks and feels so real. Just the process with a film camera is so much slower. You have to kinda know what you are doing (still not sure I do) and you have 36 exposures so they better be good. I couldn't just walk around all day with my girls and take 1000 photos. I've done that before. I had to really take everything in and make sure it was a photo I really wanted to take. I really had to slow down.
I'm not super old but I remember the days of film cameras or more specially the disposable cameras I always took with me but its still been a really long time since I've shot anything like this.
Grateful to have a few real life photos that aren't stored in a cloud somewhere or sitting on a phone. I shared a few of them below.
