Meet Mary J. Obliged — The Overfunctioner, a fictional illustrated artist from the MHM Psychocultural Artist Series, created by Jerusalem Brown, LPC, NCC, for Mental Health Monarchs.
Through music, character, psychology, and culture, Mary gives language to what can happen when being helpful slowly becomes being responsible for everybody.
And somewhere along the way, she realized: She could help people without becoming their infrastructure.
