We loved having Libby's Friends to our warehouse this week and learning about the great work they do in the community!

On Saturday, HUB Worldwide proudly hosted our first First Aid for Severe Trauma (FAST) Training of the year—and what an incredible start it was!

With the generous support of our wonderful hosts at Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 17 Birmingham residents were trained on how to respond to severe trauma situations. Our engaging GoRescue trainer, Philip, led participants through hands-on, life-saving techniques that can truly make a difference in emergencies.

Each participant received a free Stop the Bleed kit along with an American Red Cross certification—empowering them to step in when it matters most.

This training is the first of four FAST sessions happening this year, made possible through the City of Birmingham: Office of Business Diversity & Opportunity and our partnership with Alabama Regional Medical Services.

Last Wednesday, we were thrilled to welcome 18 volunteers from Protective Life for an afternoon of service with HUB Worldwide.

Their team jumped right in to help move, organize, and sort supplies that support our programs and help us better serve the community. We are incredibly grateful for their time, energy, and dedication.

We’re excited to welcome Anne McSorley to the HUB Worldwide Board of Directors!

Anne serves as Senior Director of Marketing Campaign Strategy at Protective Life and brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing and communications. Her expertise in outreach and storytelling will help expand HUB Worldwide’s impact and connect more people with the medical supplies and equipment they need.

HUB Worldwide was honored to support Medical Mission Ecuador USA by providing thousands of dollars of medical supplies and equipment to a team of Alabama physicians — along with our own surgical nurse, Sandra Daily.

In February, the team traveled to beautiful Ambato, Ecuador, with the support of Rotary Ambato, serving hundreds of patients through physical and occupational therapy rehabilitation. They distributed wheelchairs, strollers, and walkers and performed 110 surgeries — spanning orthopedic, general, plastics, and gynecology — completely free of charge.

The impact? Renewed hope, restored mobility, and improved quality of life for so many individuals and families.

It was truly an incredible week, and we are proud to support work that changes lives.
