Originating from China but has spread worldwide, this fruit has sweet, rich, and tangy flavors with hints of honey. If they are extra ripe it turns soft and silky with a browned honey flavor.

They are labeled as rare because it takes 4-8 years for a tree to bloom and often another 3 years to begin producing fruit.

So the next time you are eating one, savor it.
The best time to enjoy these are between the months of October & January!
