Ewe R Blessed Ministries
This page reflects my interests in writing, ministry, and mission activities encompassing Ewe R Blessed Ministries. A belief in God shapes everything I do.
I am proud of my Irish heritage and have strong family ties. I enjoy writing: non-fiction articles, short stories, and devotionals. I have authored a few books along the way (a cancer Bible study and a devotional book to the mental health community). I am a cancer survivor and feel a responsibility to strengthen and encourage fellow survivors. Missions, especially international missions, ignites a
I shall be forever thankful for the godly influence of my church, its staff, and volunteer teachers.
The House That Built Me - Ewe R Blessed Ministries Smack-dab in the heart of our hard-to-pronounce Indian-named city of Sylacauga is a two-story beige brick building with stained-glass windows and Greek
Mother had a house full of family plus one puppy. We missed the Nunnelley clan. A beautiful day full of blessings and of course, delicious food. You can’t get more thankful than this kind of Thankful Thursday!
My super short list of a few thanksgivings to God: still cancer-free, Parky’s good health, mother’s vitality and perseverance, our dogs, writing opportunities, Iceland vacation with my sister, and my crown implant . . . finally. So many more blessings. Let us indeed be thankful for His comfort, peace, and presence even when life is hard.
The Central Alabama Writers Guild Alliance kicked off the season with an assortment of books and a few ewe’ll-tide samplings.
Mother and I have filled and delivered three Operation Christmas shoeboxes. It’s so easy when you collect small items throughout the year and just place them in the shoebox come November. What a terrific ministry to support.
Sharon and I had fun participating in a Book Chat about our book yesterday. Comments were made about how relatable the devotionals in “Outta My Mind, Into His Heart” were. They also enjoyed the quotes we used from notable individuals plus the reflective questions. Maybe the devotionals relate to some things you could be going through, too.
Don’t let that innocence fool you; he’s guilty!
Our church’s annual Missions Conference is always inspiring. I love hearing about God’s work around the globe. I won’t be missing out next year on a short-term opportunity. Paraguay is already on the docket. I will be adding another international adventure, too. Which one will it be? Perhaps it is time for YOU to consider a short-term missions trip.
I had the joy and privilege to share my passion of missions with the Women on Mission at my hometown church of FBC Sylacauga. I presented a program on “Diversity in Missions” from all of the activities of the short-term missions trips I have been on. It was so fun to engage with many who love missions like I do.
The scariest thing I know is living without Jesus.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is almost over. I can’t let it slip by without celebrating my victory of being cancer-free for over 21 years.
“I think it’s bear skat, don’t you?”
My friend and I dropped by to support the amazing knitting ministry of Meadow Brook Baptist Church in Birmingham. Look at the display of talent from these ladies! If you missed it, you can catch it again on October 30. Terrific job, knitters and crocheters. So proud of you.
It’s World Mental Health Day, and I’ve got just the thing to honor it. My devotional book and coloring book celebrates your mental health as well as your loved ones. You’ll love the honesty in the devotionals and the different images to color. Amazon has them both.
While I was vacationing in Iceland, there were exciting things happening back home. Among them were that I received the Guidepost anthology that I have a story in. I also received notice that I was selected to be a contributing author in a Southern Christian Writers Christmas book. Sharon and I’s devotional book are being featured in a blog AND we have been invited for a local Christian radio show interview. God is blessing my writing in so many ways.
You just never know who you might run into at airports! Fellow Christian writer Cynthia Watts was sitting right across from me at the gate in Chicago! What a blessing.
