MP was honored to sponsor the First Responder Awards at this morning’s Gulfport Chamber of Commerce Connections Breakfast. It was a privilege to recognize six outstanding first responders whose dedication and service make a lasting impact on our community every day.

Our Director of Finance, Bridget Logan, had the opportunity to assist in presenting the awards, alongside MP team members John David Riemann, Sarah Williams, Emily Horton, and Blake Noblin.

We enjoyed hearing from Jamie Miller, President & CEO of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Business Council, whose message focused on the importance of strengthening relationships and connections across the Coast to drive economic growth and opportunity. As he shared, “The future of Coastal Mississippi will not be determined solely by the projects we build, but by the relationships we create.”

Thank you to the Gulfport Chamber of Commerce for hosting another great event and for bringing together leaders committed to the continued success of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

We’re excited to welcome Joshua Hughes to the MP Design Group team as our newest Civil Design Engineer!

Joshua recently celebrated his first wedding anniversary and enjoys spending his free time golfing, playing tennis, fishing, cooking, and traveling. He’s also a talented musician who played guitar in a band during college.

MP Design Group is pleased to announce the promotion of Ben Sellers, PE, to Vice President – Central Mississippi Market, as well as the opening of our new Starkville office located at 200 South Montgomery Street, Suite 204.

Ben has recently relocated to Starkville and is leading the growth and development of our Central Mississippi market, focusing on expanding client relationships, supporting business development efforts, and providing leadership to project teams across the region.

Ben has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, technical excellence, and a commitment to MP Design Group’s long-term vision. We are excited to see the impact he will continue to make as we grow strategically across Mississippi.

Big things are happening at Gulfport High School! MP Design Group is proud to be working with GHS Athletics on their new football stadium. Gulfport football, soccer, students, and fans will now be able to enjoy home games on campus.

We had a great Lunch and Learn yesterday with Terror Flex Sports Flooring!

We learned about point-elastic vs. area-elastic flooring systems, ASTM F2772 performance standards, key factors like shock absorption, deflection, COF and ball bounce, multi-use design strategies, and how to navigate common installation challenges with the right solutions.
