Happiness is boots under my tree & the sight of JB indulging in such a rare and loved treat… twins catchin’ a late nap…and gettin’ to hold my girl’s little hand on the couch. She’s home sick with the flu this week. I wish she felt more herself, but I sure haven’t minded having her around the house with me for a few extra days onto that Thanksgiving break

I spent some time yesterday Christmas crafting in the kitchen with my kindergartener. We dried and scented fruit and evergreen clippings. So fun! After making a homemade potpourri delivery to mom’s house, I was able to see this beauty in person.

My daddy’s handwork is always THE STANDARD. I love the precision, and the effort behind this homemade projection system blows my little mind.

Jane was the best big helper at 👉🏻assembling the face by the steps.
The part she could do excellently all alone was 👉🏻form each taffy ear. (Form a ball, press a thumb print, and pinch.)
She needed adult help when we👉🏻cut the tongues’ shape from . (I used the edge of a spoon for the shape.)


[The box makes 24ish. We stretched it to 20, and only fixed up 8 like corgi puppies. The rest got a reg., easy icing and sprinkle treatment with fancy picks. 👉🏻third pic.]

This morning closed out the preschool year for Jane. We can’t say enough what a blessing Mrs. Jill’s “Playschool” has been to her and our whole family… practically, socially, academically, and spiritually. This year, our girl just slap fell in love with the + “Farmer Ken” duo and her school pal, Kade. We celebrated with a wonderful family breakfast at Playschool and got to watch our babies “show what they know.” We drove away with hearts full of sweet relationships formed and a scrapbook full of memories.
