We are so fortunate to have this AMAZING educator, mom, friend, mentor, colleague, and inspirational human being with us each day at Beartooth. She deserves all the flowers! Thank you for being you, Miss Ash.

Meet Beartooth Elementary 1st Grade Teacher Melissa Ash!
"My journey with the Billings Public School District began 18 years ago, and while the years have flown by, my passion for education has only grown stronger," she said. "For as long as I can remember, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. Coming from a family of educators, teaching isn't just a career for me—it’s in my blood. I grew up seeing firsthand the impact a dedicated teacher can have on a community, and I always knew I wanted to carry on that legacy.
"Simply put, children make me happy. Their humor, their honesty, and their resilience keep me grounded and inspired every single day. After nearly two decades with the district, my favorite part of the day is still that moment when the students walk into the classroom with a smile, ready to learn.
"I am so grateful to be part of the Beartooth family and to have spent the last 18 years doing exactly what I was meant to do: ensuring that a child's first experiences with education are defined by joy, curiosity, and a lifelong passion for learning."
Thank you, Ms. Ash, and all of our wonderful educators!

RUSH: Parents - this is late getting out if you rely solely on FB. You can purchase all of your child’s school supplies with just a few clicks. DUE MAY 31st. No exceptions. There are posters along Elaine Street where you can scan the QR code. All supplies will be waiting for you next year, packaged up like a present, on your student’s desk at open house. Be sure to double check if you need headphones. This really is the way to go.

The tassel is worth the hassle! Congratulations class of 2026! Have an awesome day! Be proud. And be safe. At Beartooth, we want you to strive for your dreams (Reveur), lead with courage, grit and determination (Isibindi and Iisasshia), show love and respect to those around you through acts of kindness (Amistad and Altruismo) as you give back to your community, and always aim to do the right thing, in the right way - which isn’t always easy (Integrity). Keep on pushing yourself…we will continue to be cheering you on! Once a Bear, always a Bear.

Skyview graduates walking the halls of Beartooth…🥰

It is so great to have our former bears come back to walk the halls before they graduate. It just hits differently to see them again after 7 years and be able to share in their success. We are so proud of them. And we feel so honored to have had 27 pictures here, but 29 comes back. Thank you, graduates, for touching our hearts with your presence today. We love you and wish you success in future endeavors! 💙💚❤️🖤💙🧡
