Awe Struck in Devotion

Another powerful Sunday at Cornerstone Covenant Church! We came together to serve, give, worship, learn God’s Word, and enjoy fellowship with fellow believers. 🙌

In addition, we rejoiced & celebrated the Lord blessing us with 35 new members that joined Cornerstone. 🙌

Pastor Willard brought us the final installment of our “Awe Struck: By Devotion” series, centered on Acts 2:42 and the picture of genuine discipleship found in the early Church.

The goal isn’t simply to create converts, but to form committed disciples who are steadfastly devoted to Christ. That devotion shapes how we learn, live, worship, and grow together.

Pastor Willard shared five habits that built the first church & the ways the early Church lived out their lives of service.

🏋️‍♂️ They Devoted Themselves - they never quit, never stopped, they never gave into the pressure to abandon the responsibility given to them by Jesus.

📖 They Devoted Themselves to the Apostles’ Teaching — They learned it, believed it, practiced it, and passed it on.

🤝 They Devoted Themselves to Fellowship — They lived in partnership by contributing, participating, and sharing life together.

🍞 They Devoted Themselves to Communion — They regularly remembered, celebrated, and proclaimed what Jesus accomplished through His broken body and shed blood.

🙏 They Devoted Themselves to Prayer — Prayer wasn’t an occasional response to a crisis. It was a consistent, intentional, corporate rhythm of their life with God.

We closed our time together with worship, an altar call, and prayer for salvation. What a beautiful reminder that being a disciple of Jesus means being devoted to Him in every area of our lives.

Awe Struck: By the Spirit

This Sunday at Cornerstone Covenant Church, we came together as one church family to fellowship, worship, serve, and give as we continued to pursue God’s presence and purpose for our lives.

Pastor Willard brought the second installment of our Awe Struck series, titled “By the Spirit.” Through Scripture, we were reminded of the power of the Holy Spirit and the responsibility we have to share the Gospel with those around us.

Pastor Willard challenged us with three powerful truths:

1. The Holy Spirit Produces Power — Acts 1:8
The Holy Spirit empowers us to be witnesses and boldly share what God has done in our lives.

2. The Word Produces Faith — 1 Corinthians 1:21, Acts 2:14–36, Romans 10:17
Faith comes through hearing the Word of God. When we know His Word, we are equipped to believe, live, and speak it with confidence.

3. The Gospel Produces New People — Acts 2:41, Acts 8:26–40
The Gospel changes lives. When people hear and respond to the message of Jesus, transformation takes place.

We ended in Mark 10:45, remembering that Jesus came not to be served, but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many.

Pastor Willard left us with a simple but powerful challenge for the week:

“Who is God asking me to share Jesus with this week?”

We closed our service with a call to salvation and a powerful time of prayer during the altar call. May we leave Awe Struck: By the Spirit ready to walk in the Spirit, live out the Gospel, and boldly share Jesus wherever God sends us!

CCC Sunday Recap: AWE STRUCK

What a powerful Sunday at Cornerstone Covenant Church! We came together as one church family to serve, fellowship, worship, and grow in God’s Word.

We also shared a special time of Communion, led by Chief of Staff, Trevor Murr, as we remembered the sacrifice of Jesus and celebrated all that He has done for us.

Pastor Willard kicked off a brand-new series titled “Awe Struck,” with key verses from Acts 2:42–47. Through the example of the early church, we were challenged to become a church that lives in such a way that others can see Jesus through us.

Pastor encouraged us to become:

1). People Magnets – The Holy Sprit placing a drawing power on the life of the believer for the purpose of an opportunity to share the gospel.
2). Faithful Evangelists – Sharing & sowing the Word of God into the hearts of everyone we encounter.
3). Soul Winners – When the church is faithful in our outreach and sharing the gospel, names will be added to the Lams Book Of Life.
4). Discipleship Makers – As a church we must be intentional about helping others grow deeper in their relationship with Christ.
5). Leadership Developers – We are to raise up and equipping the current & next generation of leaders.
6). Church Planters – We are expected to take the Gospel beyond our walls and help establish new works for the Kingdom.

The service closed with a powerful reminder from Hebrews 10:23–25 to hold firmly to our hope, encourage one another, and remain committed to gathering together.

We believe God is calling Cornerstone to be more than a church that gathers—we are called to be a church that impacts lives, makes disciples, wins souls, develops leaders, and carries the Gospel beyond our walls.

FRIENDS & FAMILY WORSHIP SUNDAY

What an incredible Sunday at Cornerstone Covenant Church! Friends and family gathered together for a powerful time of worship, fellowship, serving, and prayer—and we truly experienced the presence of God in the house! 🙌

This Sunday, we were blessed to welcome Solomon Garcia as our special guest speaker, who brought an incredible word from 1 Chronicles 13:1-12 and 15:1-2. He explained the importance of making God not just a priority, but the center of our lives.

When Jesus is simply a priority, we may spend time with Him first thing in the morning and then forget Him for the rest of the day. But when Jesus is at the center, He is woven into every aspect of our lives!

Solomon reminded us that worship is designed to get God in the house. God doesn’t inhabit songs, He inhabits Praise. Without Praise, there’s no presence! Too often, we want God to be a guest in our hearts instead of Lord. When we allow Jesus to truly be Lord, that’s when He can change us.

The Ark of the Covenant represented the presence of God, and we were reminded:
“The power of God will change your situation. The presence of God will change your heart!”

Solomon shared four powerful truths:

1️⃣ David knew and recognized the need for the presence of God.
2️⃣ David went to get the presence of God back.
3️⃣ God does not show up by accident.
4️⃣ Worship is not about the how—it’s about the Who!

The challenge was simple but powerful:
Don’t just be an attender—be a surrenderer.

It’s about having a surrendered heart and making Jesus more than a priority. Make Him the center. ❤️‍🔥

We closed our service with an incredible altar call, spending time in prayer and seeking God together. What a beautiful Sunday in His presence!
