The corn is coming along nicely, should have some ready by the next farmers market! The new cream legbar and americauna chicks are thriving and growing so fast! I picked about 3 lbs of Anaheim chilis off two plants and will grill those up tonight for some burgers!

Hatching day has commenced! Quail chicks are noticeably smaller than regular chicks. I am currently accepting orders, please message me with your requests and I will confirm availability. Moreover, I will establish a waiting list for anyone interested in buying fertilized or non-fertilized eggs.

Well it’s been two weeks since we started raising quail on the farm and the kids tried grilled quail for dinner and eggs over easy for breakfast! They’re so brave, lol. It was a hit, so we are going to incorporate quail into the meal routine. They taste like chicken to me and the kids thought so, too! I’ve got about 44 eggs in the incubator which should hatch toward the end of next week!

I’m slimming down my flock and wanting to cut these Golden Laced Wyandottes to make room for some other young pullets that are “coming of age”…These Golden Laced Wyandottes are about 8 months old and have been laying for at least two months. I have 6 and am willing to separate if necessary, but prefer to go as one deal. PM me! Located near Lamesa!

My Black Copper Marans finally started laying! I hatched them at the end of October. Their darker color round out the other shades of brown pretty nicely!

I found an excellent use for some of the veggies the chickens won’t readily eat! The meal worms love them! I’ve never fed the worms anything other than potatoes and oats but as soon as I stuck these slices in there, they went nuts. Of course the worms and beetles will go to the chickens anyway!
