Stunning Summer Community Festival is happening right now till 9pm! Come out and support your local community vendors! Free toys for kids! Karaoke contest! Water balloons! Carnival games and so much more! This is a free community event. Bring your families out and show some support! And 1206 is out here of course keeping watch😉

If you or your family need a warm place, come out to the Y for a place to sleep and 1206 will be there keeping you safe!

The Big SpringYMCA is offering a refuge from the cold weather!!!

BIG SPRING, TX - A cold front is set to come through Howard County this weekend. The Big Spring YMCA, located at 801 Owens St., will be offering a refuge from the cold on Sunday and Monday night. This is available to anyone who is needing a warm place to sleep.
1206 Security Company will be here throughout the night as well.
Per Dathan Jones (CEO), no reservations will be taken and this is a first come first serve situation. This is only available to the first 30 people. The intake for those who will use this shelter will be from 8 to 9 PM and will be able to stay through 8 AM the next morning. The YMCA will be able to provide cots, blankets, and some pillows. Anyone who has extra pillows and blankets are welcome to drop them off at the YMCA.
Although people will be able to stay overnight through the inclement weather, be advised this is not considered an emergency shelter because the Y does not have generators if the power goes out.
